A Collaborative Approach

to Health and Wellness

I offer affordable and strengths-based therapy, with specialties in adoption, young adults, parenting, and the LGBTQIA+ community. In my 30 years of working with individuals and couples, I’ve developed an interactive and collaborative approach, offering clients a trusting space to explore and discover new insights.

I grew up in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia, where I spent hours exploring the city on foot and by train, subway, bus, and bicycle. I graduated from Central High School, Oberlin College with a B.A. in English, and Simmons University with a Master of Social Work.

I’ve lived in Massachusetts and Wisconsin, and am thrilled to have recently returned to my roots in Philly.

I have two young adult sons who have taught me just about everything I know.

I am a chocoholic and will always have chocolate with me if you need it. I love walking my dogs at dawn, hiking, canoeing, writing, reading fiction, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, knitting, and gardening.

Approaches therapy with humor, wisdom, kindness, and authenticity.

Back in ancient times, when I was about 18, I came across a headline in a minor newspaper: “Screwdriver Found Inside Man’s Head.” Upon reading the one-paragraph “article,” I learned that the screwdriver was eventually discovered in the X-ray machine, not the man’s head, and he was discharged accordingly.

Develop self-knowledge, value your inherent self-worth, build advocacy and leadership skills, and constructively cope with the complex challenges of life.
